Nachdem Claire gemeinsam mit ihrem Ehemann Aaron in das Haus zieht, in dem sie einst aufgewachsen ist, plagen sie schreckliche Erinnerungen an ihre Kindheit. Vor allem ihre gewalttätige Mutter machte ihr das Leben damals zur Hölle und traumatisierte sie nachhaltig.
