The Postcard Killings (2020)
Der New Yorker Detective Jacob Kanon reist nach London, um dort seiner frisch verheirateten Tochter und ihrem Mann einen Besuch abzustatten. Doch soweit kommt es gar nicht erst, denn bereits am Flughafen wird er von Scotland Yard in Empfang genommen. Die Erklärung folgt auf dem Fuße: In einem Hostel wurde ein Paar getötet. Der Verdacht liegt nahe, dass es sich um Jacobs Tochter und ihren Ehemann handelt. Laut Scotland Yard wurden die Leichen auf rituelle Weise drapiert und verweisen auf ähnliche Mordfälle, die in anderen europäischen Metropolen vorgefallen sind. Also muss der US-Cop die Leiche seiner Tochter nun identifizieren. Doch dabei bleibt es nicht. Gegen den Willen der britischen Behörden mischt Jacob sich in die weiteren Ermittlungen ein.
