Jocelyn ist ein erfolgreicher Geschäftsmann. Er ist eitel, egoistisch und ein notorischer Lügner. Frauen sind für ihn nichts anderes als ständig wechselnde Trophäen. Um sie zu erobern, ist Jocelyn jede Täuschung recht. Seine Gefühle versteckt er hinter einer Fassade aus Oberflächlichkeit und Selbstbetrug. Als er eines Tages der attraktiven Julie begegnet, nutzt er einen Zufall und lässt sie in dem Glauben, er sitze im Rollstuhl. Vielleicht schafft er es ja über Julies Mitleid in ihr Bett? Anfänglich scheint das zu funktionieren. Bis Julie ihm eines Tages ihre Schwester Florence vorstellt, die tatsächlich an den Rollstuhl gefesselt ist.
