Der neunjährige Seamus (Ciarán Flynn) leidet an einer tödlichen Herzerkrankung. Nur noch ein von Gott gesandtes Wunder kann ihm helfen. Statt darauf zu warten, setzt er sich - wie einst angeblich der Heilige St. Columcille - in ein Boot ohne Segel und Ruder, um Gott zu suchen.
