Das Gift des Bösen (1963)
Die Trilogie beinhaltet eine Zusammenstellung von drei Gruselstorys aus der Feder von Nathaniel Hawthorne. Zwei Freunde entdecken ein Lebenselixier in “Dr. Heideggers Experiment”. In " Rappacinis Tochter" leidet eine junge Frau, weil ihr Vater sie zu einem todbringenden Geschöpf macht. Die dritte Geschichte “Das Haus der sieben Giebel” handelt von einem Fluch belasteten Haus.
