All the Little Animals (1999)
Bobby Platt, ein geistig beeinträchtigter junger Mann, flieht vor seinem gewalttätigen und hasserfüllten Stiefvater, der all seine Haustiere nacheinander getötet hat. Auf der Flucht begegnet er einem seltsamen alten Mann, der auf den Autobahnen umherzieht, um überfahrene Tiere zu begraben. Bobby wird sein Lehrling und entdeckt durch ihn eine eigenartige, fast idyllische Verbindung zur Natur. Doch die Bedrohung durch seinen Stiefvater bleibt nicht lange fern, und Bobbys scheinbar friedliche Welt wird schon bald in einen grotesken Albtraum gestürzt.
