The Way Back - Der lange Weg (2010)
Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges treffen die Kriegsgefangenen Janusz, Valka und Mr. Smith in einem sibirischen Arbeitslager auf weitere überlebenswillige Leidensgenossen. Die siebenköpfige Gruppe verschiedenster Nationalitäten schmiedet den Plan, aus dem Lager auszubrechen. Während eines wütenden Eissturms nutzen sie ihre Chance und setzen das waghalsige Vorhaben in die Tat um. Um endlich Freiheit und Frieden in ihren jeweiligen Heimatländern zu finden, begibt sich die Gemeinschaft auf eine 4000 Meilen lange Reise durch die Mongolei, die Wüste Gobi und das Himalaya-Gebirge – eine übermenschliche Kraftprobe, bei der die Integrität der Gruppe mehr als einmal auf dem Spiel steht...
