Sympathy for the Devil (1968)
Jean-Luc Godard kombiniert Dokumentarbilder über die Probenarbeit der Rolling Stones zu ihrem Song „Sympathy for the Devil“ mit Interviews, Statements und allegorischen Szenen aus dem Umfeld der Black-Power-Bewegung: Der französische „Nouvelle Vague“-Regisseur auf der Suche nach neuen, subversiven Ausdrucksformen als Äquivalent zur revolutionären Aufbruchsstimmung des „Pariser Mai“ 1968. „Eins plus Eins“ ist Godards Abschied vom bürgerlichen Kino, zu dem er endgültig erst 1980 mit „Rette sich, wer kann (das Leben)“ zurückkehren wird.
