The Silence (2019)
In einer Höhle entdeckt eine archäologische Expedition eine unbekannte und gefährliche parasitäre Spezies namens Vesp. Als diese Wesen auf die Welt losgelassen werden, mutieren und vermehren sie sich in Windeseile. Sie greifen die menschliche Bevölkerung an, indem sie ihre enorme Geräuschempfindlichkeit nutzen. Selbst der leiseste Ton lockt sie in Scharen herbei. Ally, ein taubes Mädchen, dessen Sinne sich in dieser neuen Extremsituation noch zu verstärken scheinen, entdeckt ihre Fähigkeit, die Nähe der Vesps erspüren zu können. Schon bald wird Ally von einer unheimlichen Sekte verfolgt, die sich ihre ausgeprägte Sinneswahrnehmung zu Nutze machen will.
