The Slayer (1982)
Die Malerin Kay (Sarah Kendall) wird seit ihrer Kindheit wiederkehrend von Alpträumen gequält, in denen sie von einem übernatürlichen Wesen, dem "Slayer" verfolgt und schließlich getötet wird, weswegen sie diese Träume in ihren Bildern geradezu obsessiv auf die Leinwand bringt. Das nimmt schließlich solche Ausmaße an, daß ihr Ehemann David vorschlägt, gemeinsam mit ihrem Eric und dessen Frau Brooke für ein Wochenende auf einer abgelegenen Insel Urlaub zu machen. Zwar kommt man per Flieger ans Ziel, aber das Wetter spielt nicht mit und zu Kays Entsetzen erkennt sie auf der Insel das Gebäude aus ihren Träumen wieder. Tatsächlich werden ihre Träume immer intensiver und sie befürchtet, daß der "Slayer" schließlich in unsere Realität eindringen könnte. OFDB
