Honest Thief (2020)
Als sich der berüchtigte Bankräuber Tom Hals über Kopf in Annie verliebt, möchte er seinen riskanten Job endgültig an den Nagel hängen. Er beschließt, sich dem FBI zu stellen, um für sich einen Deal zu verhandeln: er bietet die Rückgabe seiner neun Millionen Dollar Beute gegen eine saubere Weste und Straffreiheit an. Beim FBI glaubt man nach Toms Kontaktaufnahme zunächst, dass man ihnen einen Streich spielen will. Anstatt erfahrener Kollegen, werden die jungen Agenten Nivens und Hall mit dem Fall beauftragt. Als diese herausfinden, dass es sich bei dem Anrufer tatsächlich um den langjährig gesuchten, Meisterdieb Tom handelt, können sie ihr Glück kaum fassen. Denn dessen Geld könnte ihre Eintrittskarte in ein besseres Leben sein. Ein Katz-und-Maus-Spiel um die Millionenbeute beginnt, bei dem die Grenzen zwischen Gut und Böse immer mehr verschwimmen…
