Minamata (2020)
Über 25 Jahre nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg unternimmt der weltbekannte Kriegsfotograf W. Eugene Smith eine Reise an die Küste Japans, um in dem dort ansässigen Fischerdorf Minamata die grausamen Einflüsse der Umweltverschmutzung durch Großkonzerne für das Life Magazin zu dokumentieren. Smith hält die Folgen der Massenvergiftung der Bewohner durch Quecksilber unter hohem persönlichen Einsatz fotografisch für die Ewigkeit fest.
