Crypto (2019)
Der junge Martin ist ein Naturtalent und gilt als absoluter Experte für Kryptowährungen, also digitalen Zahlungsmitteln wie Bitcoin. Eigentlich hätte er an der Wall Street eine große berufliche Zukunft vor sich, doch es kommt ganz anders: Er wird als Agent rekrutiert. Martin soll im US-Bundesstaat New York einem Fall von großangelegter Korruption nachgehen. In seinem Heimatort trifft er auf seinen alten Freund Earl. Während der Ermittlungen muss Martin feststellen, dass die russische Mafia mit Hilfe einer Kryptowährung Geldwäsche betreibt. Noch während er ihnen auf die Schliche kommt, befinden sich Martin und Earl bereits in Lebensgefahr. Auch Martins Vater findet sich plötzlich in einem Strudel aus Korruption und Bestechung wieder. Ein Katz-und-Maus-Spiel beginnt.
