John Ford — Der Mann, der Amerika erfand (2019)
John Ford (1895-1973), Regisseur von fast 150 Filmen und dreifacher Oscar-Preisträger, gilt als Inbegriff des Western-Regisseurs. Mit wahren Meisterwerken schrieb er Kinogeschichte. Er erzählte den Mythos Amerika, ohne dessen dunkle Seiten zu beschönigen. Sein Werk ist ebenso monumental wie für das Selbstverständnis der USA prägend.
