The Power of the Dog (2021)
1925. Zwei Brüder, die gemeinsam eine große Ranch in Montana besitzen, versuchen auf ihre Weise das gemeinsame Land zu führen. Allerdings könnten Phil und George unterschiedlicher nicht sein: Während Phil mit Strenge und Härte auf der Farm anpackt, will sich George der Kontrolle seines Bruders entziehen. Er legt mehr Wert auf teure Autos, gute Kleidung und ein Leben fernab von Rindern und Feldarbeit. Die Heirat mit der Witwe Rose könnte sein Ausweg aus seinem bisherigen Leben sein. Zusammen mit ihr und ihrem Sohn Peter will er auf der Ranch einen neuen Lebensabschnitt markieren. Die Fronten zu seinem Bruder Phil scheinen sich durch die Anwesenheit von Rose jedoch nur zu verstärken. Von familiärer Liebe und Gastfreundlichkeit ist nichts zu spüren. Allerdings beginnen sich die Machtverhältnisse nach und nach zu verschieben.
