Nine Days (2021)
Will verbringt seine Tage in einem abgelegenen Außenposten und sieht sich im Fernsehen den Live Point of View (POV) von Menschen an, die ihr Leben leben – bis ein Mensch stirbt und eine Stelle für ein neues Leben auf der Erde frei bleibt. Bald treffen mehrere Kandidaten – ungeborene Seelen – bei Will ein, um sich Tests zu unterziehen und ihre Fitness zu bestimmen. Wenn sie als ungeeignet erachtet werden, geraten sie schnell wieder in Vergessenheit. Aber Will steht bald vor seiner eigenen existenziellen Herausforderung in Form der freigeistigen Emma, einer Kandidatin, die nicht wie die anderen ist und ihn zwingt, sich nach innen zu wenden und mit seiner eigenen turbulenten Vergangenheit abzurechnen. Angetrieben von unerwarteter Kraft entdeckt er einen mutigen neuen Weg in seinem eigenen Leben.
