Every Time I Die (2020)
Der Sanitäter Sam wird noch immer vom Ertrinkungstod seiner jüngeren Schwester verfolgt, für den er sich verantwortlich fühlt, als sie beide Kinder waren. Geplagt von häufigen Albträumen und Blackouts, scheint Sams einziges Vergnügen im Leben seine Affäre mit der verheirateten Mia zu sein, deren Ehemann als Soldat in Übersee dient. Sams mürrisches Verhalten steht in krassem Gegensatz zu seinem philosophisch denkenden Ambulanzpartner Jay, der sich verändert hat, seit er nach einem Selbstmordversuch Medikamente nimmt. Jay lädt Sam ein, das Wochenende mit ihm, seiner Frau Poppy und Mia, der Schwester von Poppy, in ihrem Haus am See zu verbringen, obwohl er nichts von der unerlaubten Beziehung weiß. Mia drängt Sam, die Einladung nicht anzunehmen, da ihr Ehemann Tyler, der gerade aus dem Auslandseinsatz zurückgekehrt ist, ebenfalls dort sein wird. Aber Sam taucht trotzdem auf, was zu angespannten Konfrontationen mit dem sofort misstrauischen und emotional instabilen Tyler führt.
