The Assistant (2020)
Die junge College-Absolventin Jane will es zur Filmproduzentin schaffen und bekommt gleich einen Traumjob: als Junior-Assistentin eines mächtigen Unterhaltungsmoguls. Ihre Tage sind die eines typischen Assistenten: Kaffee kochen, Papier im Kopierer wechseln, Mittagessen bestellen, Reisen organisieren, Anrufe entgegennehmen und neue Mitarbeiter begrüssen. Doch je länger Jane ihrer täglichen Routine folgt, desto mehr wird ihr der Missbrauch in ihrer Branche bewusst. Als sie sich entscheidet dagegen anzukämpfen, erkennt sie, wie tief diese Behandlung im System verankert ist.
