Den Seinen gibt's der Herr (1963)
Die verarmte großbürgerliche Familie Lachaunaye ist in finanziellen Nöten. Doch will kein Familienmitglied das müßige Leben aufgeben, denn Müßiggang ist ihnen eine alte Tradition. Beim Kirchgang meint der älteste Sohn Georges ein göttliches Zeichen zu vernehmen, wie er seiner Familie aus der Not helfen kann: indem er Spenden aus den Opferstöcken entwendet. Schließlich seien diese für Bedürftige wie sie gedacht. Als eine Art "Robin Hood der Kirchen" muss sich Georges auf der Flucht vor den Gesetzeshütern fortan immer kreativere Verstecke ersinnen.
