Eine schrullige alte Frau nimmt ein Waisenmädchen bei sich auf. Ihr Bruder hält die alte Frau allerdings für eine Hexe. Sein Verdacht erhärtet sich, als die Alte ihre Bedinsteten entlässt und das Mädchen im Haus versteckt hält.
