When Evil Lurks (2023)
In der argentinischen Provinz ist Aberglaube tief verankert. Bei den Brüdern Pedro und Jimi führt er zu nackter Panik, als sie in ihrer unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft einen furchtbar entstellten Mann finden, der in seinem Bett bei lebendigem Leib verrottet. Er muss von einem Dämon besessen sein! Doch wie wird man das blutrünstige Wesen aus den Tiefen der Hölle los, wenn sieben strenge Regeln jede Intervention unmöglich machen und der bestellte Exorzist zerfetzt in den Büschen liegt? Ihr verzweifelter Versuch, das Böse abzuwenden, führt in die Katastrophe. Denn es kennt kein Erbarmen, mit nichts und niemandem.
