Denn eine über-natürliche, bösartige Macht hat das alte, unheimliche Hotel in seinen Bann gezogen. Und hält seine Bewohner gefangen, bis diese ihre dunkelsten Geheimnisse preisgeben. Von dem Produzenten von The Texas Chainsaw Massacre stammt dieses auf zahlreichen Filmfestivals gefeierte Horror-Juwel in der Tradition von The Shining.
