Der Ruf der Wale (2012)

1988 widerfährt dem Innuit-Städtchen Point Barrow eine Sensation: Drei kalifornische Grauwale haben sich in den Eismassen verirrt und finden ohne Hilfe ihren Weg nicht heraus. Das ruft nicht nur Tausende von Schaulustigen auf den Plan, sondern auch Lokalreporter Adam Carlson, die Tierschützerin Rachel Kramer sowie die damaligen politischen Machthaber der USA und UdSSR. Gemeinsam setzen sie sich dafür ein, dass den Tieren geholfen wird, und trotz politischer Komplikationen eine Zusammenarbeit bei dem Vorhaben zustande kommt.
