Courtney nimmt eine Auszeit von ihrem Job als erfolgreiche Chefköchin in New York. Sie will das Restaurant ihrer Familie in Idaho retten. Dort sieht sie ihre alte Liebe Jake wieder. Um für ihr Restaurant zu werben, nimmt Courtney mit Jakes Hilfe am Koch-Wettbewerb „Best in Idaho“ teil. Dabei kommen die beiden sich sehr nahe. Sie merken, dass ihre Herzen nicht nur an ihrer Heimat hängen.
