Professor Nathan Wingate beweist ausgerechnet an seinem 50. Geburtstag, daß das Paralleluniversum gar nicht so weit weg ist, wie man vielleicht glauben sollte. Durch eine von ihm erfundene Maschine gelangen zwei niedliche Aliens auf die Geburtstagsfete und bringen Stimmung unter die Gäste: Tante Anjelica verwandelt sich in eine Spinne, und Cousin Desmon wird zum Dämon.
