Charlotte Gainsbourg über Jane Birkin (2022)
„Schon als Kind hast du mich eingeschüchtert“, gesteht Jane Birkin ihrer Tochter Charlotte Gainsbourg während der Dreharbeiten. Beide sind als Schauspielerinnen die große Bühne gewöhnt. Doch diese filmische Annäherung der beiden Frauen entwickelt sich auf verblüffend tastende Weise und gerät dadurch umso eindrücklicher. Charlotte Gainsbourg zögert zunächst, einen Film über ihre Mutter zu machen. Doch dann beginnt sie, Jane Birkin mit Hilfe der Kamera auf eine Weise zu betrachten, wie sie es zuvor nie getan hat. Beide Frauen nähern sich über die Jahre der Dreharbeiten einander an. Durch das Objektiv entsteht ein intimer Raum für die Entfaltung ihrer Mutter-Tochter-Beziehung.
