The Road Dance - Dunkle Liebe (2022)
Kirsty MacLeod träumt von einem besseren Leben, weg von der Isolation, die sie in einem kleinen Dorf auf einer Insel in den Äußeren Schottischen Hebriden erdrückt. Während sie diese Sehnsüchte unterdrückt, muss Kirsty mit ansehen, wie ihr heimlicher Geliebter Murdo MacAulay zum Dienst im Ersten Weltkrieg eingezogen wird und bald mit den anderen jungen Männern des Dorfes in den Kampf zieht. Am Abend vor ihrer Abreise wird ihnen zu Ehren ein Straßentanz veranstaltet, und an diesem schicksalhaften Abend kommt es zu einem Ereignis, das Kirstys Leben und ihre Hoffnung auf ein gemeinsames Leben mit Murdo dramatisch verändert. Plötzlich ist nichts mehr, wie es war.
