Orlando (1992)
Orlando durcheilt in einem einzigen Leben vier Jahrhunderte, von den Tagen der großen Elisabeth I. bis heute. Auf halbem Wege wechselt der junge Edelmann das Geschlecht. Aus dem Favoriten der greisen Königin, dem liebeswunden Höfling, dem Gesandten der Krone in fernen Landen wird eine Lady. Sie wird in den literarischen Salons des 18. Jahrhunderts belächelt und empfängt im Zeitalter Viktorias vom Manne ihrer Träume ein Kind. Orlandos Reise durch die Zeit endet im lärmenden London von heute.
