Chernobyl Diaries (2012)
Tschernobyl, eine Chiffre des gescheiterten Fortschrittglaubens und ein dunkles Kapitel in der atomaren Menschheitsgeschichte. Die Chernobyl Diaries erzählen erstmals von den ungeschriebenen Seiten der Postapokalypse. Die Tagebücher begleiten eine Gruppe von sechs jungen Erwachsenen, die den ultimativen Kick auf ihrem Abenteuerurlaub abseits ausgetretener Pfade suchen und einen Extrem-Tour-Guide anheuern, der quasi mit Slogans wie diesem wirbt: „Experience the Fallout!“. Er führt sie gemäß ihrer Erwartungshaltung in die ausgestorbene Stadt Pripyat, die damals den Arbeitern im Atomkraftwerk als Wohnstatt diente. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt Pripyat wie eine gewöhnliche verwaiste Geisterstadt. Doch als die Nacht hereinbricht, müssen die jungen Abenteurer auf blutige Weise feststellen, dass sie keineswegs alleine sind…
