Conan, der Barbar (1982)
Gegen Ende der Bronzezeit muss der junge Conan mit ansehen, wie die Bewohner seines Dorfes und seine Eltern von Thulsa Doom getötet werden. Er selbst wird zum Sklaven und wächst durch harte Arbeit und einen unbändigen Ehrgeiz zu einem Muskelmann heran, während andere vor Erschöpfung sterben. Dann wird Conan endlich weiterverkauft und dient seinem neuen Herrn nach ausgiebigen Trainingseinheiten als Schaukämpfer. Nachdem er schließlich freigelassen wird, hängt er sich an die Fersen von Doom und hat dabei nur eines im Sinn: Rache. Aber sein erklärter Feind ist der mächtige Anführer eines Kultes mit ebenso zahlreichen wie kampferprobten Anhängern, die ihr Leben für Doom geben würden. Conan muss noch stärker werden, um eine Chance auf den Sieg zu haben.
