Prizefighter (2022)
London im Jahre 1800: Der aus ärmlichen Verhältnissen stammende Faustkämpfer Jem Belcher schafft mithilfe seines Trainers Bill Warr den Aufstieg zum gefeierten Champion des neu entstehenden Boxsports. Für Jem eröffnet sich eine neue, luxuriöse Welt – bis zu einem tragischen Unfall, der ihn das linke Auge kostet. Der skrupellose Promoter Lord Rushworth lässt ihn fallen, und Jem fällt tief, er beginnt zu trinken und landet im Kerker. Doch mit Hilfe seines Coachs lernt Jem mühsam, mit eingeschränkter Sicht zu kämpfen, um sich einem gnadenlosen Titelkampf zu stellen.
