Fahrid Murray Abraham (* 24. Oktober 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Für seine Rolle als Antonio Salieri im Filmdrama Amadeus erhielt er mehrere Auszeichnungen, darunter einen Oscar und einen Golden Globe Award. 1976 spielte er eine Nebenrolle in Alan J. Pakulas Film über die Watergate-Affäre, Die Unbestechlichen, mit Dustin Hoffman und Robert Redford als den Journalisten Carl Bernstein und Bob Woodward. 1983 verkörperte er in Brian De Palmas Scarface den Drogengangster Omar Suárez in Miami. Der künstlerische Durchbruch gelang Abraham 1984 mit seiner Darstellung des Mozart-Widersachers Antonio Salieri in Miloš Formans Amadeus. Für diese Rolle erhielt er einen Oscar als bester Hauptdarsteller und setzte sich damit gegen den ebenfalls nominierten Mozart-Darsteller Tom Hulce durch. Seitdem spielte er „Schurkenrollen“ wie etwa in der Verfilmung von Umberto Ecos Roman Der Name der Rose den mittelalterlichen Inquisitor Bernard Gui und einen paranoiden Staatsanwalt in der Filmsatire Fegefeuer der Eitelkeiten nach Tom Wolfe. In Komödien wie Loaded Weapon 1 und Last Action Hero nahm er mit viel Selbstironie sein Bösewicht-Image auf die Schippe. 1995 trat er in Woody Allens Komödie Geliebte Aphrodite in einer Nebenrolle auf.
