Paul Le Mat ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Bekanntheit erlangte er durch seine Rolle in „American Graffiti“ (1973). Seine Leistung wurde von der Kritik hoch gelobt und brachte ihm den Golden Globe als bester Nachwuchsschauspieler des Jahres ein. Le Mats Durchbruch in George Lucas' „American Graffiti“ sicherte ihm die Hauptrolle im Kassenschlager „Aloha, Bobby & Rose“ (1975). Er ist außerdem bekannt für seine Arbeit in den Jonathan-Demme-Filmen „ Flotte Sprüche auf Kanal 9“ (1977) und „Melvin & Howard“ (1980). Einen weiteren Golden Globe gewann er für seine Darstellung im Fernsehfilm „Das brennende Bett“ (1984) und spielte die Hauptrolle im Kultfilm „Puppet Master“ (1989), der eine Franchise begründete.
