Martin Jarvis OBE zählt zu den vielseitigsten Hauptdarstellern Großbritanniens. Seine beeindruckende Karriere umfasst nahezu alle Bereiche der Unterhaltungsbranche: Film, Fernsehen, Theater, Radio und Tonaufnahmen. Er ist außerdem Autor zweier Bestseller: der humorvollen Autobiografie „Acting Strangely“ und des fesselnden Berichts über seine preisgekrönte Zeit am Broadway im Jahr 2001: „Broadway, Jeeves – The Diary of a Theatrical Adventure“, beide erschienen bei Methuen. 2010 spielte er die Rolle des Vincent Hogg in einer Neuinszenierung von Agatha Christies „The Mirror Cracked“ im Rahmen der beliebten „Miss Marple“-Serie von ITV/WGHB. 2009 war er in der BBC2-Komödie „Taking the Flak“ zu sehen und erhielt für seine Darstellung des beliebten Fernsehjournalisten David Bradburn hervorragende Kritiken. Im Spielfilm „Neander Jin – Return of the Neanderthal Man“ (US-amerikanisch-deutsche Koproduktion, 2010) verkörpert er den Fernsehmogul Peter Blodnik.
