John Holland (16. Mai 1908 – 21. Mai 1993) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Sänger. John Holland wurde als Harold Boggess in Fremont, Nebraska, geboren. Er nahm den Namen seines Großvaters, John Holland, als Künstlernamen an. Er begann seine Schauspielkarriere 1937 in Hollywood-Filmen und wirkte später in zahlreichen Fernsehserien mit, darunter „Hawaiian Eye“, „Wagon Train“ und „Perry Mason“. Zu seinen bekanntesten Filmen zählen „My Fair Lady“ (1964), „How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying“ (1967) und „Chinatown“ (1974). Neben Film und Fernsehen spielte Holland auch im Musicaltheater, beispielsweise in der Broadway-Produktion von „Peter Pan“ (1954), und in Theaterstücken, unter anderem in der Tournee-Produktion von „The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial“. Für seinen Auftritt in dem Konzert „The California Night of Music“ im September 1937 in Los Angeles erhielt er positive Kritiken. Bei Besuchen seiner Eltern in Alton, Illinois, gab er oft kostenlose Konzerte, begleitet von seinem Vater, dem Organisten Newton Boggess. John Holland starb am 21. Mai 1993 im Alter von 85 Jahren in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.
