Melissa Ellen Gilbert (* 8. Mai 1964 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Autorin und Produzentin, die vor allem in Film und Fernsehen tätig ist. Gilbert ist vor allem als Kinderdarstellerin bekannt, die in der Fernsehserie „Unsere kleine Farm“ (1974–1984) die Rolle der Laura Ingalls Wilder, der zweiten Tochter von Charles Ingalls (gespielt von Michael Landon), spielte. Als Erwachsene kann sie auf eine sehr lange Liste von Rollen, Synchronarbeiten, Drehbüchern, Produktionen und Regiearbeiten zurückblicken. Melissa war zudem zwei Amtszeiten lang Präsidentin der Screen Actors Guild. Am 9. Juni 2009 erschien ihre Autobiografie „Prairie Tale: A Memoir“.
