Der amerikanische Haupt- und Nebendarsteller Glenn Corbett, ein kerniger und charismatischer Mann, hatte eine ungewöhnliche Herkunft, die ihn nicht gerade zum Hollywood-Star machen würde. Als Sohn eines Automechanikers leistete Corbett seinen Wehrdienst bei der Marine ab und lernte später Judy, seine zukünftige Ehefrau, kennen, als diese an einem College arbeitete.
