Biografie:

Vincent Sherman (geb. Abraham Orovitz) war ein US-amerikanischer Regisseur und Schauspieler, der in Hollywood arbeitete. Zu seinen Filmen gehören „Das Leben der Mrs. Skeffington“ (1944), „Nora Prentiss“ (1947) und „Der Mann aus Philadelphia“ (1959). Er begann seine Karriere als Schauspieler am Broadway und später beim Film. Er drehte B-Movies für Warner Bros. und wechselte dann zur Regie von A-Filmen. Er war ein guter Freund des Schauspielers Errol Flynn, den er in Die Abenteuer des Don Juan (1949) inszenierte. Er führte Regie bei drei Joan-Crawford-Filmen: Die Verdammten weinen nicht (1950), Harriet Craig (1950) und Auf Wiedersehen, mein Schatz (1951).
