Alexandrea "Alex" Borstein (geb. 15. Februar 1973) ist eine amerikanische Schauspielerin, Sängerin, Synchronsprecherin, Autorin und Komikerin. Sie ist vor allem bekannt für ihre langjährige Rolle als Lois Griffin in der Zeichentrickserie Family Guy und als Darstellerin in der Sketch-Comedy-Serie MADtv. Borstein, geboren im Highland Park, Illinois, ist Absolventin der San Francisco State University, wo sie Rhetorik studierte. Sie wurde am ACME Comedy Theatre in der Nähe von Hollywood, Kalifornien, in Improvisationskomik ausgebildet und wurde für MADtv ausgewählt, nachdem sie von Talent-Agenten gescoutet wurde, die ihre Arbeit am Theater bemerkten. Sie war Autorin und Synchronsprecherin für mehrere Fernsehsendungen, darunter Casper, Pinky und das Gehirn und die Power Rangers: Zeo, bevor er als Featured Player und später 1997 als Repertoire-Spieler in die Besetzung von MADtv kam. Als Schauspielerin hat sie in Filmen wie The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Catwoman and Dinner for Schmucks mitgewirkt.
