Eugene Shalit (* 25. März 1926) ist ein US-amerikanischer Journalist im Ruhestand, Fernsehmoderator, Film- und Buchkritiker sowie Autor. Nachdem er 1970 eine Teilzeitstelle bei der NBC-Sendung „The Today Show“ angetreten hatte, war er dort vom 15. Januar 1973 bis zu seinem Ruhestand am 11. November 2010 tätig. Bekannt ist er für seine zahlreichen Wortspiele, seinen imposanten Schnurrbart, sein lockiges Haar und seine Vorliebe für bunte Fliegen.
