Er wirkte in einer Vielzahl von Fernsehserien mit, darunter „Here Come the Brides“, „Petticoat Junction“, „Matt Houston“, „M*A*S*H“, „Centennial“, „Simon & Simon“, „Highway to Heaven“, „Sledge Hammer!“, „Knight Rider“, „Quantum Leap“ und „Emergency Room“. Außerdem spielte er Rollen in Filmen wie „Truck Stop Women“ (1974), „The Apple Dumpling Gang“ (1975), „Mackintosh and T.J.“ (1975), „Stay Hungry“ (1976), „King Kong“ (1976), „The Shadow of Chikara“ (1977), „Goin' South“ (1978), „The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch“ (1982) und „Maverick“ (1994) und teilte sich die Hauptrolle in „Bootleggers“ (1974) und „Creature from Black Lake“ (1976). Seine bekannteste Rolle war die des liebenswerten, aber nicht gerade hellen Kyle Murtry, Mitglied der Devil's Hole Gang, in der ABC-Comedy-Western-Serie „Alias Smith and Jones“ mit Pete Duel und Ben Murphy. Fimple wirkte in sieben Folgen mit und ist bis heute ein Publikumsliebling. Von 1993 bis 1994 spielte er Garral in sieben Folgen der CBS-Comedy-Western-Serie „Harts of the West“ mit Beau Bridges und Lloyd Bridges. Seine letzte Rolle hatte er 2003 in Rob Zombies Horrorfilm „House of 1000 Corpses“ als der fluchende Opa Hugo. Fimple wurde in Taft, Kalifornien, als Sohn von Dolly und Elmer Fimple geboren.[1] Er schloss 1958 die Taft Union High School ab.[2] Er starb im August 2002 in Frazier Park, Kalifornien, bei einem Autounfall.
