Biografie:

Charles Boyer (28. August 1899 – 26. August 1978) war ein französischer Schauspieler, der zwischen 1920 und 1976 in über 80 Filmen mitwirkte. Nach seiner Schauspielausbildung begann Boyer seine Karriere am Theater, feierte aber in den 1930er-Jahren große Erfolge im Film. Zu seinen unvergesslichen Darbietungen zählen seine Rollen in den hochgelobten romantischen Dramen „Algier“ (1938) und „Love Affair“ (1939). Eine weitere berühmte Rolle spielte er 1944 in dem Mystery-Thriller „Das Haus der Lady Alquist“. Er wurde viermal für den Oscar als Bester Hauptdarsteller nominiert.
