Nancy Kwan ist eine chinesisch-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Nancy Kwan wurde als Tochter eines chinesischen Vaters und einer schottischen Mutter in Hongkong geboren. Der Produzent Ray Stark entdeckte sie für die weibliche Hauptrolle in seinem Film Die Welt der Suzie Wong (1960). Nancy gewann dafür 1961 den Golden Globe Award als Beste Nachwuchsdarstellerin, sie war gleichzeitig als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einem Drama nominiert. Danach ging Kwan nach Hollywood, wo sie in kürzester Zeit zur Nachfolgerin der 1961 verstorbenen Anna May Wong für ostasiatische Rollen wurde.
