Daniel William Strong (* 6. Juni 1974) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Drehbuchautor, Regisseur und Produzent. Als Schauspieler ist er vor allem für seine Rollen als Jonathan Levinson in „Buffy – Im Bann der Dämonen“ und Doyle McMaster in „Gilmore Girls“ bekannt. Er schrieb außerdem die Drehbücher für „Recount“, die HBO-Adaption „Game Change“, Lee Daniels’ „The Butler“ und war Co-Autor des zweiteiligen Finales der „Die Tribute von Panem“-Trilogie, „Mockingjay Teil 1“ und „Mockingjay Teil 2“. Strong ist zudem Co-Autor, Executive Producer, Regisseur und Autor der Fox-Serie „Empire“ und entwickelte, schrieb und inszenierte die preisgekrönte Hulu-Miniserie „Dopesick“. Er hat zwei Emmy Awards, zwei Writers Guild of America Awards, einen Producers Guild of America Award und einen NAACP Image Award gewonnen.
