Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Sänger. Lawrence wurde in New York City, New York, als fünftes von neun Kindern westindischer Eltern geboren. Seine Eltern stammten aus der Karibik. Er besuchte kurzzeitig die Wilkes University, bevor seine Schauspielkarriere begann. Er begann seine Schauspielkarriere im Sommer 1969 und schloss 1971 die High School of Art and Design ab. Anschließend studierte er Schauspiel bei der weltberühmten Negro Ensemble Company und dem Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble. 1975 erhielt er die Rolle des Freddie „Boom Boom“ Washington in der erfolgreichen ABC-Comedyserie „Welcome Back, Kotter“. Hilton-Jacobs wirkte im Laufe der Jahre in einigen Werbespots mit, darunter Anfang der 1970er-Jahre in einem Spot für den United Negro College Fund. Er wirkte in zahlreichen Filmen und Fernsehsendungen mit, darunter Claudine (1974), Cooley High (1975), Roots (1977), Welcome Back, Kotter (1975) und Die Jacksons - Ein amerikanischer Traum (1992).
