Al Waxman war ein äußerst produktiver Schauspieler und Regisseur, der in über 1000 Produktionen in Radio, Fernsehen, Film und Theater mitwirkte. Seine Rolle in „King of Kensington“ gilt als einer der Höhepunkte seiner erfolgreichen Karriere in kanadischen Fernsehserien. Darüber hinaus spielte er in gefeierten Serien wie „Cagney & Lacey“, „Missing Treasures“ und „Twice in a Lifetime“. Seine Theaterlaufbahn führte ihn vom Off-Broadway in New York bis zum Londoner West End. Beim Stratford Festival wurde er für seine Darstellung des Willy Loman in „Tod eines Handlungsreisenden“ und seine Regiearbeit für „Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank“ gefeiert.
