Angie Dickinson (* 30. September 1931 in Kulm, North Dakota, als Angelina Brown) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Eine Rolle in Das blonde Glück, einer Komödie mit Doris Day, erhielt sie bereits im Alter von 22 Jahren. Es folgten viele weitere Filme mit berühmten Hauptdarstellern wie John Wayne, Rod Steiger, Roger Moore und Frank Sinatra. Eine ihrer bekanntesten Rollen hatte sie als Feathers, die Geliebte von John Wayne, in Howard Hawks’ Westernklassiker Rio Bravo (1959). Für diese Darstellung erhielt sie einen Golden Globe in der Kategorie Beste Nachwuchsdarstellerin. In den 1960er-Jahren übernahm sie größere Filmrollen in bekannten Hollywood-Produktionen wie Frankie und seine Spießgesellen, Abenteuer in Rom und Point Blank. Von 1974 bis 1978 spielte Dickinson die Hauptrolle in der Fernsehserie Police Woman (dt. Ausstrahlung ab 1988 auf Sat.1 unter dem Titel Make-up und Pistolen). Für ihre Rolle als Sergeant Suzanne „Pepper“ Anderson erhielt sie 1975 erneut einen Golden Globe als beste Serien-Hauptdarstellerin (Drama). Im Fernsehen hatte sie weitere Gastrollen in Serien wie Rauchende Colts, Die Leute von der Shiloh Ranch, Perry Mason und Auf der Flucht. 1952 heiratete sie Gene Dickinson, einen Footballspieler; die Ehe hielt bis 1960. Von 1965 bis 1981 war sie mit dem Musiker und Komponisten Burt Bacharach verheiratet, 1966 kam ihre Tochter Lea Nikki Bacharach zur Welt; diese litt am Asperger-Syndrom und beging im Januar 2007 Selbstmord. In der Dokumentation „Marilyn Monroe - Ich möchte geliebt werden“ (2017, von Eckhart Schmidts) wurde behauptet, dass Angie Dickinson eine Geliebte von John F. Kennedy war.
