John Arthur Rubinstein ist ein US-amerikanischer Film- und Theaterschauspieler sowie Komponist für Filmmusiken und Filmregisseur. John Rubinstein wurde als Sohn des polnischen Pianisten Arthur Rubinstein und dessen Frau Aniela Młynarska geboren. Sein Großvater mütterlicherseits war der polnische Dirigent Emil Młynarski. 1967 debütierte Rubinstein als Schauspieler in einer Episode der Fernsehserie Dragnet 1967. Drei Jahre später, 1970, komponierte er für die Filmkomödie Paddy seinen ersten Soundtrack.
