Helen Hayes, eigentlich Helen Hayes Brown, (* 10. Oktober 1900 in Washington, D.C.; † 17. März 1993 in Nyack, New York) war eine US-amerikanische Film- und Bühnenschauspielerin, die eine lange und erfolgreiche Karriere im amerikanischen Showgeschäft hatte. Für ihre Leistung in Die Sünde der Madelon Claudet gewann sie 1932 den Oscar als Beste Hauptdarstellerin, nochmals mit dem Oscar wurde sie für ihre Nebenrolle im Katastrophenfilm Airport ausgezeichnet. Außerdem gewann sie mehrere Tony Awards für ihre Theaterarbeit, den Emmy Award und den Grammy. Damit ist sie eine der wenigen Personen, die alle vier großen Preise der US-amerikanischen Unterhaltungsindustrie gewinnen konnten.
