Charles Jeremy Jankel, bekannt als Chaz oder Chas Jankel, ist ein englischer Musiker und Songwriter. In seiner über 50-jährigen Musikkarriere erlangte er Ende der 1970er-Jahre als Gitarrist und Keyboarder der Rockband Ian Dury and the Blockheads Bekanntheit. Gemeinsam mit Dury schrieb Jankel einige der bekanntesten Songs der Band, darunter „Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll“, „Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick“ und „Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3“. Neben seiner Arbeit mit den Blockheads verfolgte Jankel eine Solokarriere mit zehn Studioalben. Er kann auf eine lange Liste von Erfolgen als Interpret und Songwriter zurückblicken.
